Feeding a Bullmastiff. What you should know.
It is necessary to understand that each breed is unique and needs
special nutrition suitable for this very breed.
We suggest that Bullmastiff owners feed their pets with foods that
contain what this breed really needs. Not so many people know that
it is healthier to feed your pet with the food its ancestors ate
(sources which are not foreign to the digestive and glandular
systems). Thus Bullmastiff won't face any problems and will easily
assimilate the food you give.
Pay attention your dog gets:
- proteins
- carbohydrates
- fatty acids
- vitamins
- minerals
Generally speaking it should be correctly balanced food which your
dog will easily digest.
Those dog owners who feed their pets correctly are able to save a
lot of money.
If you are negligent in the matter of feeding your dog, it will
suffer as well as your wallet will do. Making mistakes in feeding
your pet will result in constant visits to a vet (which nowadays are
money and time spending business). Unbalanced nutrition may lead to
dry, itchy or flaky skin, hot spots, yeast infections in the ear,
thyroid - liver - kidney problems. To solve these problems will cost
you a lot.
That is why it is highly important to decide what you will feed your
dog with. Get as much information on this matter as you can. If you
correctly choose a diet for your Bullmastiff you will make its life
longer, healthier, happier and your wallet will be thicker.
The best diet for a Bullmastiff is one when an owner feed its pet
with fresh, quality ingredients,
without preservatives. If you cook at home it will be
cheaper and healthier for your dog. Of course it will take a little
longer than buying dog food from store but we hope that you love
your dog enough and will spend some time cooking for it healthy
food.
It is highly recommended to give your Bullmastiff:
- beef meat
- horse meat
- poultry
- The food also should contain:
- fiber whole oats, wheat, and whole corn
Attention it is not recommended to
feed your Bullmastiff with:
- fish
- products that contain soy
- minerals that are from sulfate sources
Note!
It is good if you feed your Bullmastiff with food enriched with
vitamins and minerals but do not
feed this breed of dog any supplemental vitamin C because it may
cause the kidney and liver problems.
